News From the Literary World

Today I got a letter from Max's mum Kim who is in Auckland. It made me excited about discovering a new author!
I just wanted to share some pics with you, Max and the class. I am at an international children's literature conference in Auckland (called IBBY) and one of Max's current favourite authors is here - an American cartoonist of graphic novels named Raina Telgemeier (her books are Smile, Sisters and the Babysitter's Club) amongst others.

Here is a link to her website!
