If you happened to be at St Albans School this afternoon you may have seen, inspiring activities, crazy costumes, colourful clothes, awesome obstacles, racing relays, tremendous teamwork and excited children. The children and teachers had got together in their house groups to celebrate with terrific tabloids today!
The activities began after a special lunch when the children ate in their house groups. Each activity was 10 minutes of action packed fun and frivolity. Some of the favourite activities were, the spud and spoon race, playing on the senior playground, dress up races, noughts and crosses, letter find and obliterating obstacle courses.
After an hour of excitement and enthusiasm the children returned to their classes for some reflection and discussion about their experiences. Some of the skip and sizzle seemed to have evaporated from the children as they wended their way home. It remains to be seen if this reappears by the disco this evening...
